It all began over twenty years ago with HBCU alumni in the Twin Cities seeking genuine connections with one another. Fast forward to today, HBCU alumni continue to thrive in the Twin Cities, deeply investing in building and nurturing these connections, and are seeking many more. In November 2022, we hosted an HBCU alumni gathering, attracting over 50 alumni who bonded over great food and vibrant HBCU spirit. We kept the momentum going with a lively Family Game Night in February 2023, drawing more than 40 enthusiastic alumni. Throughout the year, we participated in a number of dynamic events: We spoke of our personal experiences and gave out great advice at an HBCU Panel, we cheered together at HBCU Night at the Twins Game, attended six bustling college fairs, and capped off the year with a high-energy Fall Networking Mixer. Lastly, we can’t forget how we celebrated our Inaugural HBCU Send Off, hosting and creating relationships with over 25 incoming and current students! The atmosphere was electric and we are set to have an even greater experience in 2024!
Our founders saw the incredible potential and established a foundation for what we stand for. We envision a world where HBCUs are the top choice for Minnesota's youth to achieve their degrees and we remain dedicated to advocating for HBCU enrollment and recruitment.
